At Keystone, we stand behind our products. We strive to mae the warranty claim process as easy and simple as possible.

How to Make a Warranty Claim:

1. Check to see if your ballast is under warranty. To do this, check the date code on the ballast and make sure that the week it was manufactured does not exceed today's date in the alloted warranty period. The date code can be found stamped on the side of the ballast.

 

EXPLANATION OF DATE CODES

 

ELECTRONIC BALLASTS:

White Date Code

• The first 2 digits (09) refer to the year of manufacture.
• The second 2 digits (36) refer to the week of manufacture.
• The final 2 digits (02) refer to the bill of materials revision number and have no relation to the date of manufacture.

 

HID BALLASTS:

HID Date Code

• The first 2 digits (11) refer to the week of manufacture.
• The next 4 digits (2007) refer to the year of manufacture.
• The final letter (H) refers to the assembly line used and has no relation to the date of manufacture.

 

EMERGENCY BALLASTS:

DATE CODE 2211

• The first 2 digits (22) refer to the week of manufacture.
• The next 2 digits (11) refer to the year of manufacture.

2. Collect the following information:

  • Catalog number and date code on the ballast
  • Number of ballasts that have failed
  • Number of ballasts that are totally installed
  • The type of lamp used in the fixture
